‌Peter C. and Caroline were married in a religious ceremony in 1866.  They had five sons and five daughters, named Clarence, Comodore, Sherman, Abraham, Arthur Lee, Alice Margaret, Flora Anne, Rebecca, Eda Jemima and Ida Mae.
