An obituary for Lois was in "The Paris News" Thursday, February 1, 2001. It reads as follows:
Mrs. Claudie (Lois G.) Dudley, 89, of Deport died Wednesday, Jan 31, 2001, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Gright-Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddy Burden officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dudley was born Aug. 13, 1911 in Clardy to Albert and Sattie Stone Stansell. She married Claudie Dudley Sept. 23, 1929 in Hugo, Okla. He preceded her in death April 2, 2000. She was an L.V.N. and had worked at the Deport hospital and Deport Nursing Home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Deport.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry Dudley of Deport and Rodger Dudley and wife Linda of Star Habor; two sisters, Wilma Stansell of Paris and Robbie Nell Slaton of Halesboro; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers; one sister, and one grandson.
