Jesse Oren Reeves

Services were Saturday, Dec. 2, in Montgomery-Viets Chapel with the Rev. Bill Knapp officiating. Family recordings of "Far Side Banks of Jordan," "If You Knew," "Kings Harbor Shore" and "Family Ties," were played. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.

Jesse Oren Reeves was born Aug. 23, 1917, at Buffalo, the son of Lennie and Maude (Wilson) Reeves. He died Nov. 30, 2006, at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 7 days.
He was united in marriage with Elsie Quisenberry on March 1, 1995.
He was a retired carpenter, a veteran of World War II and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by two sons: Frank Reeves and Ted Reeves.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie; one daughter, Shirley Lemaster, Tulsa; two sisters: Delveta Reeves and Betty Medcalf; and four stepchildren.
