In 1835 Peter and Margaret moved from Orange County, Indiana, toVanBuren Township, Daviess County, Indiana. Peter took 200acres of landin 50 acre increments. The town of Raglesville isbuilt on landdonated byhim. He was also one of the founders ofthe Methodist Churchin 1836. Peter's brother, John, moved atthe same time. He also tookup land and started the first storein Raglesville. He hauled hisgoods by wagon from New Albany,Indian, which is across the Ohio Riverfrom Louisville,Kentucky. Peter and Margaret are listed on the 1850Daviess Co.IN Census living in Van Buren Township.
