He then proceeded to Gaul and married Caesair, daughter of the King of the Gauls, by whom he had 22 sons and three daughters. Only two of those sons had issue. Of these, Cobthach Caolbhreagh was ancestor of numerous Irish families in Meath, Ulster, and Conacht, as well of the kings of Scotland. The following line is quoted from J.
