  66th Monarch of Ireland. Among the curious stories related by the ancient Irish historians is that of leading a fleet to the Mediterranean, landing forces in Africa, and attacking Sicily. He then proceeded to Gaul and married Caesair, daughter of the King of the Gauls, by whom he had 22 sons and three daughters. Only two of those sons had issue. Of these, Cobthach Caolbhreagh was ancestor of numerous Irish families in Meath, Ulster, and Conacht, as well of the kings of Scotland. The following line is quoted from J.
