  Joshua I. Jones is the grandson of David Jones, born 1679, who came from Wales and entered land where the city of Baltimore, MD. now stands.
  
  I have seen his name also as Isaac Jones.
  Not sure which is correct.
  
  Descendant of Phillip Jones, a founder of Baltimore.
  
  Their son, James Jones, moved to Tennessee.  Thomas Jones moved to Georgia.  John Jones daughter, Sallie, married a Houston.  Sam Houston of Texas was a descendant.
