Mr. Hoover was born inPattonville,Dec. 30, 1901, a son of the late Thomas L. Hoover andEmma(Ballard) Hoover. He married Virgie Dudley in Pattonville onDec.30, 1917. She survives as does his step-mother, Mrs. EllaMaud Hooverof Paris; three sons, Raymond Hoover of Pattonville,Dudley Hoover ofEl Paso, and Larence Hoover of Pattonville;four daughters; Mrs. Robert(Juanita) Russell of Paris, Mrs.Margaret Wadley of Paris, Mrs. GlennaFay Harper of Paris, Mrs.Thomas (Helen) Hively of Powderly; a brother,the Rev. CurtisHoover of Pattonville; three sisters, Mrs. Irene MaherofDallas, Mrs. Jesse (Margie Helen) Durham of Paris, and Mrs.RuthMcHour of California; 27 grandchildren and 29great-grandchildren.Mr. Hoover was a retired employee ofBabcock and Wilcox and a lifetimemember of Shady Grove Chruch.
