  It is most likely that Caroline went with Lewis to MO about 1848 and that she remarried before the 1850 census. A check of the marriage records may reveal some thing and show if there were any children.
  
  Note: There was a P. P. Ellmore age 31, born KY in the 1850 census: Washington Twp, Buchanan Co, MO.
