David de Malpas, called David le Clerk, was Justice of Chester 34th Henry II, 1188. Three different references assign to each a different wife, but most likely he married Catherine, daughter of Owen Vaughan, Lord of Melior. He may have been
married three times. He had William, eldest son, who died without legitimate issue, and left his brother Philip Gogh, surnamed de Egerton, as his legal heir.
