Died, in Americus, on the 19th ult., of Typhoid Fever, JamesJudson Barlow in the twenty fifth year of his age.
He was confined to his room five weeks but was never heard to murmur. He presented an example of the most perfect resignation to the willof God, which it has ever been the privilege of the writer towitness.
The day before his death he requested an interview with his pastor, inwhich he stated, as well as his strength would permit, his desirefor a stronger faith in the Redeemer, asking that prayer might bemade to that effect.
On the day of his decease he called his brothers to his bed~side, and gave them direction concerning the settlement of his affairs. He said he wished them to convey his remains to Laurens County, andbury them beside his mother.
.....At a few minutes before 10 oclock at night he fell asleep inJesus, passing gently.....
He has left an aged father, several brothers and sisters.
