Landed ar Newport RI between 1630 and 1640 aboard the ship :"Dorset" - John Flower, Master sailed from Gravesend England September 03, 1635 for the Bomodes (Bermudas). Amoung the passengers was a ZMr Casse aged 19 yrs.
1667 the first grant of lands made in Simsbury to John and 20 others.
NOTE: John was the first Englishman living in the dutch providence of Long Island and is said that the name "YANKEE" is derived from "JAN KEES" the Dutch for John Case.
John was appointed Town Constable by General Court of Hartford on 14 Oct 1669. This was the first person ever to hold an Official Position in Simsbury,Ct.
