In 1567 Richard Latham claims rents etc, when the Hon.Lewis Latham, Falconer to the King was 12 yrs of age.
The coat of arms on the Lewis Latham portrait, and those of the Latham family in England are identical. He was a venerable looking man, with a long flowing beard, reaching to his bosom, and wearing a dress appropriate to his station.
Lewis Latham The Falconer had brothers Symon, William, sister Ursula wife of William Carter and sister Elizabeth, wife of Thomas. ( Will 6 May 1653
