He was from Sussex, England - some records say Groton Stoneham Co., another Suffolk Co. He was the 2nd son of Sir John Gage, governor of the Tower of London, at the time of Henry VIII. He landed at Salem, MA in 1630. Resided at Bradford, MA. Removed to Ipswich, MA. In 1664 removed to Rawley, MA.
