JOSEPH S. MARTIN Joseph S. Martin, a Sebastopol native and lifelong
resident, collapsed and died at his home Saturday. He was 97. Martin was
born on the family ranch on Ragle Ranch Road and was a rancher all his
life, growing apples and grapes on the family ranch and his own ranch.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Irene Persinger of Benicia; and a
brother, Elvin Martin of Santa Rosa. Mass will be celebrated at St.
Sebastian's Catholic Churach at 10 a.m. today. Burial will be at
Sebastopol Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Parent-Sorensen Mortuary,
Sebastopol, handled arrangements.

MARTIN, Joseph S. -- Died suddenly at his home in Sebastopol, November
20, 1993. The beloved brother of Elvin S. Martin of Santa Rosa. Adored
Uncle of Ronald Martin of Morro Bay and Darryl Martin of Sacramento.
Step-father of Irene Persinger of Benicia. He was predeceased by his
wife Bessie Martin. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews and
great great nieces and nephews. A native of Sebastopol, CA. Age 97
years. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Sebastians Catholic
Church, 7983 Covert Lane in Sebastopol, Tuesday morning, November 23,
1993 at 10 A.M. followed by burial in Sebastopol Memorial Lawn Cemetery,
Sebastopol, CA. Arrangements under the direction of PARENT-SORENSEN
MORTUARY, 301 S. Main St. Sebastopol.
