‌Mitchell and Mattie were married in a religious ceremony before 1910.¹   They had five sons and five daughters, named Hy Melton, Ray, Arthur Parker, Marion Griffin, Oscar Mitchell, Christine, Mattie Mae, Mildred, Emma Lee and Unknown.
