‌Etienne and Marie Catherine were married in a religious ceremony in Lachenaye, Province of Quebec, Canada.  They had four sons and six daughters, named Marie Joseph, Jean Baptiste, Nicolas Charles, Jean Baptiste, Marie Archange, Marie Amable, Etienne, Marie Agathe, Marie Marguerite and Marie Rosalie.
