‌David and Joanna were married in a religious ceremony in 1816.¹   They had two sons and six daughters, and also a child of unknown gender, named Charles, John Ellis, Lucy Ann, Jane, Julia, Julia, Sarah Frances, Sarah Louisa and Infant.
