‌Alfred Kelley and Louisa Smith were married in a religious ceremony on January 30th, 1878 in Clyde, New York.¹   They had three sons and six daughters, named James Lawrence, Alfred Kelley, Edward Strong, Ethel Louise, Madorah Janet, Naomi Handy, Mary Seymour, Gertrude Strong and Lucy Holmes.
