A child, Henry, traveled by ship from England to Australia with John and Charlotte. This may have been a child of Charlotte by a previous marriage or at least previous to the John Thomas - Charlotte Smith marriage. There seems to be no reference to Henry after arrival in Australia. He was born in August 1846. Charlotte may have been married twice before J.T. Clark because of a possibility of 2 maiden names.
John Thomas and Charlotte probably were married in the Israelite Santuary in Fitzroy, Australia. The church was called the "Christian Israelite Church" but later considered a cult.
Charlotte was born in 1824 or 1825 and died of pneumonia at Hobart, Australia.
