He owned and operated the Milk Ranch outside of Deadwood, SD. He would drive the milk into Deadwood everyday.
He then moved to Beulah, Wyoming in 1913 with his Grandsons, Fred and Frank (twins) and Home steaded what is now the Windy Acres Ranch.
