Samuel was an early member of the First Congressional Church in Harford. His name is on the founders monument. He came from Staplehurst, Kent to New England in May 1634 in the same ship with William Panty, Timothy Stanley and wife, Simon Willard, etc. He was made a freeman 4 Mar 1634/5 and was an original proprietor of Hartford, Connecticut. Samuel Greenhill ( ? -1637) came from Staplehurst, County Kent, England
in 1634 in the 'Planter" with Thomas Stanley and others. He was a freeman in 1635, and moved to Hartford, Conn with the Hooker party in 1635.
