Launcelot Granger: Sources: Ancestry of Earl Leslie Morgan, Gridley; The Genealogical History of Robert Adams of Newberry, Massachusetts, Andrew N. Adams, 1900.
Launcelot was stolen from his mother (father was dead) when 12-14 years old. He was brought to Plymouth, Massachusetts where he was sold to serve 2 years as a cabin boy. Lived in Ipswich in 1648 then Newbury for 20 years and finally Suffield, Connecticut. He was a puritan and was in the Massachusetts Bay area in 1650. A large maple tree that he planted still stands in front of his home and is known as Launcelot Granger Tree.
