Agnes of was born in Klosterneuburg, Niederoesterrich, Austria.  Agnes of's father was Heinrich and her mother was Bertha of Savoy and Maurienne.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry III "The Black" of Germany and Agnes of Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Otto of Saxony and Adelaide of Turin. She had three brothers and a sister, named Henry of, Conrad of, Henry of and Adelaide of.  She died on September 24th, 1143 in France.
