Hildegarde of was born in Dijon, Cote-D'Or, Bourgogne, France.  Hildegarde of's father was Robert I "The Old Duke" of France and her mother was Irmegard De Anjou.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Magnus and Constance of Provence; her maternal grandparents were Foulques III "Nerra" de Anjou and Hildegarde of Lorraine. She had seven half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Hughes of, Henri of, Robert of, Simon of, Ives (Ivo), Geoffrey III of, Foulques "The Brawler" Rechin, Aldegarde of, Constance and Hildegarde.  She died after 1104.


Hildegarde of's family with William VI of Poitiers

‌Hildegarde of and William VI of were married in a religious ceremony in 1068.  They had two sons and two daughters, named William VII of, Hugh of, Agnes of and Beatrice of.
