Joseph was born on December 23rd, 1805 in Sharon, Windsor, VT.  He died at the age of 38 on June 27th, 1844 in Carthage Jail, Hancock, IL.  He was buried on June 29th, 1844 in Nauvoo, Hancock, IL.
