Edward and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony in March 1782. They had three sons and four daughters, named Martin, John, Joseph, Grace, Betty, Neddy and Mary.

John was born on January 25th, 1795 in Tatham Fells, Lancaster, England. He died at the age of 76 on December 13th, 1871 in Norwood, Ontario, Canada.
