John Jacob and wife Anna left for America on May 4th, just after their wedding, arriving Aug. 28, 1733. The town of Copley is now located on the 400 acres of land located by John along the Lehigh river in Whitehall Twp. John Jacob and Anna Magdalena were married in a religious ceremony on April 28th, 1733. They had two sons and a daughter, named Philip Jacob, John George and Catharine Maria Magdalena.
