Fought with Bonnie Prince Charlie
"Archibald MACGREGOR, a member of the Clan MacGregor, one of the oldest and most historic, as well as the most persecuted, of the Scottish Clans. This Clan claims descent from Gregor, third son of King Alpin, who ruled Scotland, A.D. 787. The proud motto of the Clan is "Srioghail mo dhream" - "Royal is my race." Archibald MACGREGOR was severely wounded at the battle of Culloden, and left on the field as dead, but revived and escaped to NorthCarolina USA"

This site states "I found this couple while doing genealogy in my family. Archibald MacGregor fought at the battle of Culloden, along with a Henry MacAlpin. Henry was killed but Archibald survived, and fled to North Carolina with Edith MacAlpin, Henry's daughter. They were married, had a daughter Ann, and Archibald died in 1758 in NC."
