John Francis Lockett was a prominent lawyer and politician of Henderson, KY. In the biography cited below, Mr. Lockett`s birth year was stated as 1856, but the 1900 Henderson Co., KY Census indicates he was at 48 at that time, making his birth year 1852-53. In this census, John and Minnie are living in the household with their four children, but there is a marriage recorded of John marrying second wife Jennie C. Harris on 11/14/1889. John Frances and Minnie were married in a religious ceremony on April 14th, 1881. They had three sons and two daughters, named John, Alvan, Pascal Hickman, Sarah `Sallie` and Marie.
