"MRS. A.C.DeWITT PASSES, BODY TO MUSKEGON, MICH.
Mrs. A.C. DeWitt, for the past four and a half years a resident of Omak, died Saturday evening at 11:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. A. Bradley. Mrs. DeWitt had been in poor health for some months, and an at
tack of flue hastened her death. She was critically ill for two days before the end came. A private funeral service was held at the Yarwood chapel in Okanog an Tuesday evening and the body on Monday morning shipped to Muskegon, Michigan, where she resided before coming to Omak. Mrs. George B. Ladd, a daughter of Mrs. DeWitt, accompanied the body. The deceased was born at Warfum, the Netherlands, November 21, 1860, and when eight years of age came with her parents to Holland, Michigan, where she spent her girlhood and attended school. When 18 years of age, she was married to Edward Linegea, then making her home in Grand Haven, Michigan. To this union were born three children, Paul Linega, Muskegon; Mrs. George B. Ladd of Omak and Ellen who died in childhood. Six years after their marriage Mr. Linega died and five years later the widow became Mrs. DeWitt, the children of this marriage being Mrs. S.
A. Bradley and Miss Clara DeWitt of Omak, Peter DeWitt of Muskegon, and Ellen, now deceased. Mrs DeWitt came to Omak four years ago last September and has since resided with her daughters here.
She was a member of the First Dutch Reformed Church in Muskegon, but since coming to Omak had remained close at home and had not affiliated herself with any local religious organization.?
