General Notes

In the 1980s, I helped my brother to try to locate his father or at least know a little more about him, but all we learned was that he had moved to the Amish area of Pennsylvania and had many children; however, we were never able to verify this.  My mother's lifelong story was that he was in the Navy, based in San Francsico, and the marriage was annulled (for reasons still unclear to me), although I have not yet found a marriage record.  I did subsequently learn from old papers that he was actually a next-door neighbor of the Troxell family on Telegraph Hill in San Francisco.
