Charles, listed as a farmer, is shown in the 1880 census with wife "Theodisia", son Frank P. and daughters Ruby and Mattie. Listed with the household are Richard Coleman (Black, laborer, age 17) and Lizzie House (mulatto, housekeeper, age 14.) Sources: 1880 Census for New Harmony, Pike, Missouri and S115.
‌Charles and Theodosia were married in a religious ceremony in 1874. They had a son and three daughters, named Frank P., Ruby Alice, Mattie and Alice.
