He registered as a 60 year old farmer in Inwood, California in 1898. The 1870 Shasta Co., California lists himself, wife Arzilla, and children: Susan V. Darrah born 1863 Millvillle, Calif, George A. Darrah 1865, Millville, and Bennett Darrah 1858 in Millville, Shasta Co., Calif."
‌Simon H. and Arzilla were married in a religious ceremony on November 16th, 1861.
