Mattie Myrtle was born on July 18th, 1885.1 Mattie Myrtle's father was George W. Underwood and her mother is Nancy Ann Scott. Her paternal grandfather was William C. Underwood and her paternal grandmother is Mariah J. Druien. She had a brother and three sisters, named James, Rosetta, Mary and Georgia Ann. She was the youngest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named J. O. Cleveland, Jessie Davis, John G., Margaret E., S. Tilden and Ida F.. She died at the age of 88 on August 19th, 1973 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana. She was buried in Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery, Indianapois, Marion Co., Indiana.1 1 General Notes
