Malinda Jane Underwood 
Malinda Jane was born on June 24th, 1863 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Malinda Jane's father was Samuel S., Rev. Underwood and her mother is Sarah A. Thompson. Her paternal grandfather was Abraham Hiram Underwood and her paternal grandmother is Mary Roark; her maternal grandparents are King Solomon Thompson and Mildred Bell. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John Lewis, Willis H., Mary J. and Catherine Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the five children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Van Cleveland, Alfa D., Bessie E. and Lona B.. She died at the age of 74 on December 31st, 1937 in Jefferson Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
