Barton Snider 
Barton was born in 1818 in Ohio.1 Barton's father was John Snider and his mother was Prudence Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Rudoph Snider and Mary Elizabeth Morgan. He had a brother and three sisters, named Enoch N., Rebecca, Sarah Ann and Elizabeth E.. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Asa, John Blounton, Samuel, Charles, Moses, Wesley, Asenith, Hannah, Elenora and Margaret. He died at the age of 47 on May 1st, 1865 in Kansas.1 General Notes
