Martha Sarah Smith

he w as trainded to be a teacher. When her cousin A. C. Farmer and his fam
ily m oved west they invited her to accompany them to Scott Co., Mississip
pi S he was widowed soon after the birth o fher third child and her sist
er Eliz abeth came from Georgia to help with the children, so that Sar
ah cou ld go back to teaching. When the Keahey Clan, under the leadersh
ip of Jo hn Robert Jackson Keahey moved to Rockwell, Texas in 1880, Mart
ha and h er children went with them. They later came to Collin County a
nd final ly to Pampa, Texas.
‌Martha Sarah and Alvia Wiggin were married in a religious ceremony on November 1st, 1868 in Scott Co., Mississippi.1 They had a son and two daughters, named Alvia Barnett, Appielonia Beatrice and Martha Lazell.

Martha Lazell was born on December 12th, 1870 in Scott Co. , Mississippi.1 She died at the age of 92 on October 12th, 1963 in Fort Stockton, Texas. She was buried in East Hill Cemetery, Pecos Co., Texas.1 1
Alvia Barnett Keahey
Alvia Barnett was born on October 1st, 1873 in Scott Co. , Mississippi.1 He died at the age of 68 on May 6th, 1942 in Pampa, Texas.1
