John Calvin Skaggs

John Calvin was born on December 2nd, 1870 in Kentucky.¹   John Calvin's father was Dotson Elbert Skaggs and his mother is Mary Malinda Stapp.  His paternal grandfather was William Brock Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Nancy Warner. He has five brothers and three sisters, named William Joshua, Elbert Dotson, Charles, Oscar, George Ernest, Flora Catherine, Sarah Josephine and Nancy Jane.  He is the fifth oldest of the nine children. He has a half-sister named Mary Frances Warren.
