John Skaggs 
John was born in 1795.1 John's father was Jeremiah Skaggs and his mother was Hannah Lester. His paternal grandfather was James Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Mary Unknown. He had a brother and four sisters, named James, Nancy, Martha, Lydia and Hannah. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Matthew, William Henry, Stephen, Mary Elizabeth, Lydia and Rebecca. He died at the age of 81 on April 2nd, 1876 in Carter Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
