Hester Skaggs

Hester was born in 1839.¹   Hester's father was William Perry Skaggs and her mother is Lucinda Johnson.  Her paternal grandfather was William Brock Skaggs and her paternal grandmother is Nancy Wells. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Willis G., Sidney L., Angelian and Elizabeth.  She is the oldest of the five children.

‌Hester and J. G. were married in a religious ceremony on September 9th, 1854.¹
