Arabel was born on July 4th, 1859 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 Arabel's father was Hezekiah Skaggs and her mother is Hannah Preyer. Her paternal grandparents were Stephen Skaggs and Rhoda Warren. She had a brother and a sister, named Lloyd and Rhoda. She was the second oldest of the three children. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, Atwood, Mary Ann, Burnette, Emily G. and Rosetta E.. She died at the age of 44 in 1903.1 General Notes
