James Shorter

James was born in 1785.¹ James' father was James Archibald Shorter and his mother is Lucy Childrey. His paternal grandfather was John, Jr. Shorter and his paternal grandmother is Kindness Unknown. He had four brothers and a sister, named Robert, Benjamin, John, Jeremiah and Kindness. He is the third youngest of the six children.
