William Arby Shepherd 
William Arby was born on November 19th, 1913 in Crawford Co., Arkansas.1 William Arby's father was Grover Cleveland Shepherd and his mother was Lula Beatrice Basham. His maternal grandparents were Monroe Moses Basham and Martha Jane Williams. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George Washington, Winfrey Monroe, Haskell, Truman Oscar, Duel Cleveland, Ruby Elizabeth, Nellie Opal and Dessie Mae. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 44 on May 30th, 1958. He was buried in Bixby, Oklahoma.1 1 General Notes
