Major Raymond Schillereff was a Korean War pilot, flying the F-80 Shoo
ti ng Star, the first Jet fighters to be used in combat. Ray was on the c
ov er of Life Magazine (7/17/1950) during Korean War for shooting down t
he fi rst Russian built Il-10 in the war. Later he died in an airplane a
ccide nt over Idaho in the 1951.
‌Raymond and Margaret Lena were married in a religious ceremony on June 29th, 1943 in Cashmere, Cheland Co., Washington.1 They had four sons named Living, Living, Living and Living.
