Catherine Loretta Salmon 
Catherine Loretta was born on November 14th, 1850 in Cumberland Co., North Carolina.1 Catherine Loretta's father was John Anderson Salmon and her mother was Mary Ann Tutor. Her paternal grandparents are William Salmon and Nancy Smith; her maternal grandparents were John Henry Tutor and Martha Patsy Betts. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Silas A, James Andrew, John Henry, Henrietta McClain, Nancy Sabetha, Penetta A. and Aresta. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 87 on September 15th, 1938 in Van Zandt Co., Texas. She was buried in Union Grove Cem., Van Zandt Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
