‌Joseph Eugene,Jr. and Elizabeth Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on February 13th, 1879 in Chappell Hill, Texas.¹   They had five sons and three daughters, named Joseph E., Milton Lee, Eugene, Hammond, Walter, Eliza, Florence and Susie.
