AGNES BASSHAM
Agnes Bassham, 69, of Hardy, died Saturday, Oct. 5, in Hardy. The daug
ht er of the late J D Rogers and Belle Ladd Rogers, she was a lifelong res
ide nt of Sharp County. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Ho
pe Bapt ist Church of Hardy.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Bates and her husband James of Ha
rd y; two sons, Dale Bassham and his wife Debby of Cherokee Village, and R
uss ell Bassham and his wife Linda of Hardy; one sister, Burnece Mahaff
ey of W illiford, and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Benton Bass
ha m. Services were at the New Hope Baptist Church of Hardy on Tuesda
y, O ct 8, with Revs Lendol Jackson and J C Smith officiating. Burial w
as in t he Wirth Cemetery under the direction of the Tri- County Funeral H
ome of H ardy.
