John L. Roberts

John L. was born in March 1848 in Texas.¹   John L.'s father was John, Jr. Roberts and his mother is Nancy T. Russell.  His paternal grandparents were John, Sr. Roberts and Susanna Mason; his maternal grandparents are Jamers R. Russell and Rutha Unknown. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas H., James R., Angeline C., Lucy J., Paralee and Nancy C..  He is the third youngest of the seven children.
