Dorcus Ritchie 
Dorcus was born in December 1861 in Kentucky.1 Dorcus' father is Samuel Ritchie and her mother is Chole Hall. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Grigsby Ritchie and Kissiah Smith. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Leander C., Andrew, John, Nancy Ann, Elizabeth, Sinthia and Dora. She was the oldest of the eight children.
