Mary Anna Purcell 
Mary Anna was born on October 17th, 1862 in Roundrock, Williamson Co., Texas.1 Mary Anna's father was Samuel Bruer Purcell and her mother was Sabra Caroline Smalley. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin S. Purcell and Mary Smalley; her maternal grandparents were Freeman Jasper,Jr. Smalley and Nancy Ann Asher. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Ulysses Samuel, Joseph Joel A., Willie B., Zelar, Merton Mart, Freeman Bruer, Samuel Eldon, Alice Benjamin, Hattie and Dora. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 83 on December 16th, 1945 in San Angelo, Tom Green Co., Texas.1 General Notes
